Joanna Polk joins the team

Joanna Polk has been named Executive Assistant and Development Manager on the Empower Team. In her role, Polk will support the CEO, keep projects and commitments on track, maintain the organization’s strategic fundraising plan, and help connect new donors to the organization.

Polk previously worked at University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry and at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church’s Weekday Ministry.

Polk has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Polk and her son, Easton, reside in Pelahatchie. They are members of Journey Church in Pearl, MS. In her free time, Joanna enjoys spending time with family, reading, and the occasional shopping trip.
