Elyse Marcellino
Elyse is the Director of Embark. This project aims to come alongside education entrepreneurs and help them start high-quality charter and private schools in Mississippi. Elyse helped launch Atlanta Classical Academy, a charter school in Georgia, where she taught for three years. Prior to that, she was a legislative assistant for U.S. Senator Thad Cochran.
Elyse received her Bachelor’s Degree from Belhaven University in 2008 and her Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University in 2014. She is also an alumna of the John Jay Institute in Philadelphia, PA, and the Young Leaders Program at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC. Elyse grew up in Laurel.
