James Robertson

J. Robertson is Director of Employability and Criminal Justice Reform for Empower Mississippi. In this role, J. oversees employability issues and criminal justice reform policy.  J. has a background in public policy research and has worked to support criminal justice reform work in Mississippi for the past three years.

J. is a graduate of the University of Mississippi’s Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, Summa cum laude, where he was Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Political Science. He is originally from Bruce. He and his wife Mallory live in Madison and they attend Madison United Methodist Church.
